We are looking for a Manager Business Development and Sales for the Industry customer segment in UK, Netherlands, Denmark and Norway, reporting to Director Heavy Transport in BU Network Solutions. The relevant person should have a strong and genuine interest in building up and leading a team as well as finding commercial solutions for a growing business.

Vattenfall’s Business Unit Network Solutions has grown significantly since the establishment 5 years ago and now has more than 90 employees in Sweden, London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Oslo. The business has grown more than 300% in the last 5 years and has an aggressive, yet realistic, growth target with 5 times the current revenue within the next 5 years. Network Solutions delivers Power-as-a-Service, mainly to large industries and increasingly to the heavy transport sector to enable electrification.

Job description

You will develop and lead a team of 7 persons in end 2022 and strong further growth over time, located in UK, Netherlands, Denmark and Norway. You will report to Director Heavy Transport and work closely with the other parts of Network Solutions and important stakeholders in other Vattenfall BAs and Staff functions, as well as a broad variety of external stakeholders, customers and potential customers.

Main responsibilities are:

  • Drive the business Development and Sales in the industry segments in UK, Denmark, Netherlands and Norway.

  • Secure hand over of customer contracts to our Delivery & Operations team.

  • Lead employees, recruit and on-board new emplyees.

  • Support build up of local organisations, such as legal units, processes and governance.

  • Buid up network and trust within Vattenfall organisation.

  • Have close contact with existing and potential customers to be able to deliver customer focused business development and sales.

  • Drive the difficult prioritisation between CAPEX, OPEX and revenue and deliver customer value combined with profitability.

  • Prepare and execute a plan for delivering significant growth within the Industry segment within UK, Denmark, Netherlands and Norway.

Position could be done from our offices in: Amsterdam, Sweden (multiple locations), London, Copenhagen

Your profile

Your profile

You are passionate about business, customers, sales and people. You are curious in nature and capable of identifying new opportunities and solutions to respond to business needs. You are excited by the possibilities to grow a business and improve business performance.

You have:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree.

  • At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales, consultancy, project delivery and/or operations. The more diverse experience the better.

  • Strong skills in leadership and stakeholder management.

  • Ability to lead in a creative and solution-orientated way.

  • A structured and organised way of working and ability to work under pressure to meet specific deadlines, individually or together with your team.

  • Eligibility to work in the EU or UK ( Visa sponsorship for this position is not possible)

You are Fluent in English.
